Holiday Spirit
S3 Technologies has always believed in the importance of giving back to the community and this holiday season provides us with yet one more opportunity to put our beliefs in action.
This is why we are proud to join forces with Canada Place for their annual Breakfast with Santa fundraiser whose proceeds go towards the Strathcona Community Center Food Security for Children program.

Fall 2010 Recycling Drive
The last recycling drive took place on August 27th 2010. We just got news from our recycling center that we accumulate 5,000 pounds of IT junk.
That's a lot of crap!
Our two rented Discount trucks drove around the Montreal island to many of our customers who wishes to disposed of their outdated IT equipment.
We filled out our trucks and after fighting a bit to close the door, we drove down to the Centre de Recyclage de la Montérégie in St-Catherine where two strong man emptied our trucks and sorted them out.

Plant a Tree for Me
S3 Technologies is a proud participant in Dell's environmental initiative and we want to play a greater role in the protection of the global environment.
For each computer and server we sell, S3 contributes an amount calculated to offset the carbon dioxide emitted for the equipment over the next three years.
This money will be donated to the "Plant a Tree for Me" program - the additional fee is not passed on to our customers.
S3 has always been a proponent of taking concrete actions to fight pollution and the abuse and misuse of natural resources, particularly when it comes to IT products. This philosophy led us to the implementation of our biannual electronic waste recycling drives.
S3 Technologies salutes Dell's initiative and we value the opportunity to be even greener in our business.
This is one more way for us to show how much we care about the environment.

Prosperous Summer
S3 Technologies is now an official IBM partner, and a Blackberry license reseller. Due to increasing demand, we also added a new member to our team.
Finally, we completed our second recycling drive on May 22nd takin in twice as much computer junk for recycling as last time.

Recyc-Québec Green Certification
S3 has achieved, as of February 12, 2009, the level 1 "Here, We Recycle" certification.
This certification is awarded to enterprises, companies, and institutions that care about residual waste and commit to the implementation of environmental protection measures We are proud of this achievement and are already working hard at reaching level two.

Recycling Day
We marked our first recycling day on December 12th, 2009.
It was a great success and convinced us to keep providing this service to all of our clients twice a year.
Four members of our team went to pick up obsolete or retired computer parts at client locations.
The equipment was transported to Geep Ecosys, where it was properly processed.
