If you often ask Copilot “Translate this into French” or “Rewrite this text in a professional and concise tone,” you’re probably repeating the same instructions over and over again.
Good news: with Copilot, you can save these instructions as a personal agent. Next time, one click is all it takes, and Copilot already knows exactly what to do.
It may seem like a small detail… but over time, it saves a lot of time!
How to create a Copilot agent (10 seconds)
-
Open Copilot in Teams.
-
Click the expand navigation in the upper left.
-
Select Create agent.
-
Describe what the agent should do every time.
-
Example: “Translate any text I paste into French.”
-
-
Give it a name, like French Translator.
-
Save it.
Next time, select your agent and paste the text you want to translate. No more retyping instructions.
Examples of simple agents you can create
1. Translation Agents
English → French
Paste the text → the agent translates.
Instruction example:
“Translate any text or file into French while preserving the meaning, tone, and style of the original. Do not summarize or modify the content: the translation must be complete and accurate. If the text contains brand names, do not translate them.”
2. Internal Communications Writer
An agent that always produces:
-
A clear, concise message
-
A suggested subject line
-
A French and English version
Instruction example:
“Create clear, concise, and engaging internal communications in a friendly, professional tone. The message must be easy to read, without unnecessary jargon. Provide a suggested subject line (catchy title for the email or internal post). Deliver two full versions of the message: French and English.”
3. Summary Agent
An agent that provides a summary of any text or file.
Paste the text → the agent summarizes.
Instruction example:
“Provide a complete summary of the text or file. The summary should capture all key points and main ideas from the original, presented in a concise and easy-to-understand format. Include relevant details and examples that support the main ideas, while avoiding unnecessary information or repetition. The length of the summary should match the length and complexity of the original text, offering a clear and accurate overview without omitting important information.”
